Hey Chyenne!! So excited to be chatting with you. We are so excited to be premiering your new single!! ! Can you tell us what this song means to you?

This song is so special to me! I wrote it in Nashville last Spring. It was also the first music video I’ve ever done, which was super fun. I wanted to write a song that would bring encouragement and self-empowerment to other people. No one should have to feel they have to be someone they aren’t or that they need to change who they are to be accepted. It is a fun uplifting song, both lyrically and melodically. I hope my words are relatable and meaningful. At my age I feel no one really knows who they are yet, it is easy to get put into a stereotype and it is hard to get out of.  To me, Girl I’m Gunna Be is about unapologetically being who you want to be.

What’s been your reaction to the fans anticipation for your new single?

Knowing that my fans are excited, makes me even more excited to share this song and music video!

How excited are you to get this single out into the world?

I couldn’t be more thrilled! Girl I’m Gunna Be represents who I am and where I’m at right now. I was fortunate to be able to shoot a music video to the song, which includes my cousin and a bunch of my friends! They are all really excited to see the video and I can’t wait to show it to them and the world.

Do you have any other release plans for 2020?

Yes! I have a lot of music I am excited to share with everyone. I have been writing non-stop during quarantine and am anxious to get into the studio and record!

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I hope that they will find meaning in the lyrics, and happiness in the music.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I want it to be a relationship where they can share their feelings with me and I can turn it into music and share it back. A relationship between my supporters and I has to work both ways, feeding off each other.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

Something that not only fans, but a lot of people don’t know is that I have a large blended family. I have a brother, a half brother, three half sisters, and four step sisters!

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

That I would love for them to come up and say hi!

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

My message would be to always be true to yourself and do what you love to do. Being unique is beautiful. You should never have to apologize for being yourself and doing what you love.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Confidence

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Kacey Musgraves, Madison Beer, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Dolly Parton, these are just a few!!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

The negative side of social media is easy to get wrapped up in but, as an artist, social media is a great way to stay connected with fans and express yourself.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest dream would be to go on tour and headline my own show! Music is such a big part of my life, whether it’s writing, singing, or listening to other songs. I could not live without it and will never stop making it!

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you!! Without my supporters I wouldn’t be able to be doing this. I appreciate all of the people that listen to my music and help me do what I love.

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us : )
