You only recently started social media and have already gained a huge following, How did you get started with social media?
I heard about social media from my friends, I decided to try it out. I just did it for fun at first and then it sort of just took off from there. I have met so many people and gained new friendships around the country through social media.
What inspired you to try and make your social media career, a music career as well?
I’ve always loved to perform! Since I was a kid, I would sing on those karaoke machines. My love of music pushed me to give the next level a try and professionally record my first single.
How would you describe your musical style as an artist?
My musical style is Pop mixed with a bit of Hip Hop.
What artists do you look up to right now?
I absolutely LOVE Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez at the moment! I just love their style and stage performances as well as their music.
You recently recorded your new song, “Something More”, What was that whole experience like for you?
I was nervous at first. Going into professional studios where so many top artists made music was nerve wracking, but Chris Plante, the producer for this song, made me feel very comfortable with the studio. When I started singing my nerves left instantly. I still get those little butterflies in my stomach, however when I start with the first note of a song they just go away. It truly is an amazing experience.
What was it like having Dylan featured on your song?
He is one of my best friends, I loved having him there for extra support and he absolutely killed it! Recording the video with him and many of my friends was also a blast. We have a great team all around.
The music video for “Something More” looks like it was a lot of fun to make. Any fun moments while on set?
Filming the video was my favorite part. When we were on set, we all sat around the table and had a jam session. We also filmed part of the video on the beach in Malibu. Some of us climbed up on the rocks and the waves sort of trapped us on top of them. The location was great and I always enjoy the beach with my friends. We would sing, laugh and just having a great time overall. It was SO fun!
How did the idea for the music video come about?
One day I was sitting in my room thinking of fun ideas for the video and I decided to write them down. When I looked over the song I realized I had matched the lyrics perfectly with my ideas, so I showed the ideas to Brittany Flickinger. Together we worked to do some extra treatment on the look. It just seemed to fall into place perfectly.
What was it like having a bunch of well known social media stars in your first ever music video?
They are some of my closest friends since I’ve started social media, so for me it was more like inviting my friends then social media stars.
Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?
Yes, I just finished a new song. We are recording the video at the end of June, It is called ‘Heart Eyes’ and I personally think it’s a total bop. We are also working on a 3rd song, but I haven’t recorded it yet. We should have that wrapped up soon as well.
Are there any other fun projects in the works you can tell us about?
We are in talks about doing a tour this summer. There are so many cities I would like to visit. The team will pick several fun places and I will hit the road with some of my friends as well. I cannot wait to see my supporters and performing live is just so much fun.
Are you planning to perform live anytime soon?
This goes back to my previous answer. We are in discussions of doing a tour this summer. Takes a lot of time to plan, but we are hoping to get on the road in July.
