Hey Elli! So excited to be talking with you again. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to over the past few months?

SO great to be back; thanks for having me! I’ve been prepping for a lot of new music and some shows. I played two last month and have a ton coming up that I can’t announce just yet. But stayed tuned – it’ll be exciting!

That’s so cool!! You have definitely been busy and I can’t wait to see all that you have in store. Like you are gearing up for the release of your next single “Somebody To Talk To” ? How excited are you to get this song out into the world?

YES! I’m so ready to have more than one song out in the world! It’s such a funny thing, as artists, we have this entire catalog of songs we’ve been working on for the past two years, but songs can get released so sporadically. I’ve lived with Somebody To Talk To for a few years, but now people finally get to hear and hopefully love it like I do, and have for a while.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope they will find a sense of comfort in the fact that everyone feels lonely at times and everyone is searching for connection. I just hope they know my DM’s are always open, and that I try to respond to everything I can!

Can you tell us how “Somebody To Talk To” came about?

So Alina and I (LYRE) wrote the song with the artist Leony and we were writing it with her project in mind, but it turned out that I just needed to have this song for myself. I just related way too heavily to it, and Leony was so awesome: she just let me run with it.

Any fun moments while creating the song?

I think my favorite part about working on this song was the track. I’ve cried to it many times, because it reminds me of the Tarzan soundtrack done by Phil Collins. I’m a huge Disney nerd, so it made me very emotional to have a track that reminded me of the magic Phil created.

What’s your process of choosing a song to record?

Typically, I will write a song with Alina and potentially a third collaborator. After, Alina and I will talk about if it feels good and fits in well with the rest of the music, and from there we will cut a demo vocal to see how we are feeling about it. It’s all typically a last minute decision of me saying “I WANNA PUT IT OUT NEXT MONTH” I’m lucky to have people around me that help make that happen.

Are you making a music video for “Somebody To Talk To”?

Yes and no, I’m planning to put out a video that centers around the live show I put on and some behind the scenes footage of that! It’s gonna be really cool and different for me and I’m excited to see how people react to it.

Will there be an EP/Album out soon?

At the moment, I’m planning to put out a single every month during the summer but, as I mentioned before, I can be a bit spontaneous, so you never know!

Are there any other fun projects in the works you guys can tell us about?

We are working with Mackenzie Ziegler a ton and super excited about her music that is about to come out!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I love you moore and I can’t wait for you to hear Somebody To Talk To!!!
