What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?
I hope they like it and that it resonates with them. It means alot to me, and I hope that shows. This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written, and I hope it’s one of theirs as well.
Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?
Yes, it’s from a real experience. I wrote it while going through my first breakup. I had the flu at the time and was isolated from my support system, which was hard but gave me a lot of time to process and write. Everything felt like a mess, and I found myself begging for any sort of higher power to step in and fix what I couldn’t. It was moments like those that gave me the idea for the song.
Do you have a creative say in your music?
Yes, I currently have all of the creative say in my music which I am incredibly blessed to have. I work with a team of people who are very open to my suggestions and want to help me bring my creativity to life.
Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video 🙂
Currently, I don’t have a music video filmed, but it’s something I hope to do in the near future.
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I want my message to be that it’s okay to feel your emotions and not have to hide behind perfection all the time because life can be hard. We live in a society where everything online makes life seem so perfect all the time, but that’s not the reality of it and we all know it. Mental health is so important, and it’s even more important to take care of yourself and get in tune with your feelings surrounding whatever it is you’re going through.
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
That’s a tough question. There are so many people I would love to meet and/or collaborate with! Currently, I would say Chelsea Cutler. I think It would be so cool to write with her at some point.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
My biggest goal right now would be to go on a tour. I love being able to connect with an audience!
Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
Your support means the world to me. Every heartbreak and low point in my life feels worth it because the music that came from it led me to some amazing people.
