Hey Desanka!! We are so excited to be chatting with you about your new single!!! Can you tell us what this song means to you?
“Saturdays” is really a power-pop anthem about self-worth and self-growth. I collaborated on “Saturdays” with my friend Alex Carlson, and working with friends always gives even more meaning to the music itself.
What’s been your reaction to the fans anticipation for your new single “Saturday”?
I usually take a while to release music, so I think people are excited to see what I have in store next.
How excited are you to get this single out into the world?
I am so excited to get “Saturdays” out into the world! It is so unique in that it is my first song that came out of lockdown during COVID-19, which makes it one to remember.
Where did your love of music come from?
My love for music came from my dad, who is an opera composer.
Do you have any other release plans for 2020?
I do! Quarantine has been a very creative time for me.
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?
I hope that supporters will be able to identify with my music in anyway that is helpful or inspiring to them.
How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?
I always strive to have a relationship with my supporters that is communicative. For example, I make sure to respond to all of my comments and messages on all social media platforms, which I truly pride myself on.
What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
A lot of people don’t know that I started my musical journey as a musical theatre performer and opera singer.
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
If my fans ever see me in public, just say hi! I get DMs from people saying that they saw me out but were too nervous to say anything. I’m really nice. 😉
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I don’t want to tell fans and listeners how they should feel or what they should think when they listen to my music. I would rather just leave that up to them.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
I would love to meet Brendon Urie and Julia Michaels.
Do you have any other talents other than singing?
Besides being a singer, I am also a professional actress and model.

Social media is vital for small artists like myself to connect with my supporters and to reach larger audiences.

Right now, my biggest dream is just to continue doing what I love to do.
