Hey Abigail! So excited to be chatting with you! Can you tell us a little bit about you?

Thank you so much for chatting with me! I’ve been doing music since I was 13. I started writing songs and teaching myself to play guitar. In summer of 2014, I was in a summer rock camp and was entered into the world or performing and bands. I was in a classic rock band for a year, after that I started my solo project. On Halloween of 2015 I released my first EP “For The First Time” at just 15 years old and started playing shows with my band around the Pacific Northwest. Ever since I started my solo project, I’ve released a lot of singles and covers on all streaming platforms as well as another EP called “Madness” which was released last May. I just got back from Nashville where I recorded 2 singles and an entire EP which I’m hoping to release next spring. As a songwriter, being in Nashville was so much fun. Im currently working on my next releases such as “Without You” and also co-writing with other songwriters.

What artists do you look up to right now?

There are so many artists I look up to. To name just a few I would have to say Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Jade Bird, and Tyler Joseph. I love their songwriting so much and their ability to tell stories through their music.

You are gearing up for the release of your new single! How excited are you to get this project out into the world?!?

I am so excited to release “Without You”! I recorded it with Robbie Artress down in Nashville last April and I had the time of my life. Robbie knew exactly what I wanted for this song from the feeling to the sound and I am so proud of the outcome of this song. The players on the song are Gideon and Gabe Klein and they are phenomenal players and I felt like I learned so much. I’m so thankful for the team of people I’ve got behind me. They make the recording and creative process so much more fun. Having people who believe in “Without You” and my other soon to be released songs as much as I do is such a great feeling to have.

Can you tell us about what this song means to you?

The story behind ‘Without You’ is the feeling behind falling in love and not being able to imagine a life without this person. Even when there is chaos around you, the person you love is always right there so you know that everything will turn out alright in the end. It’s about the understanding that life is not perfect, and you’ve gone through this feeling before with others, but this time it’s special. This time feels like the love will never fade away, and you really don’t want it to because it feels like magic with this person. The song evokes emotions such as happiness, love, joy, cheerfulness, hopefulness, admiration and contentment. This song is also my very first Nashville studio single which makes me even more excited about it!

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I really hope that they relate to it and can connect with it. Whether they’re thinking of a friend or someone they love, I hope they can connect with the song and I hope it makes them smile when they listen to it. This song is so happy and really just shows the happiness and love you feel when you’re with someone you love unconditionally.

Any fun moments while creating the song?

In the studio with Robbie, Gideon, and Gabe was so much fun! Getting to see the song I wrote in my bedroom come to life is one of the most exciting things about my job. Something we did with the production was use a vocoder which is a tool that can synthesis a human vocal and it sounds so kool and really gave it a “Spacey Kacey” vibe. We liked using “Spacey Kacey” as a description for certain parts so we know that the inspiration for some parts was inspired by Kacey Musgraves.

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so can you spill any details about it?

YES! I am so excited about the music video. It was directed by my good friend Kyle Olthoff who also filmed the music video for the single we did together, “Eye to Eye.” My co-star in the video is Brock Peterson and I can’t imagine having anyone else star in this video with me. Brock was so excited to be in the video and did such an amazing job. Something that I really loved in the video is the car scene. We used a purple 1969 Chevy Camaro and Brock had to drive it. A lot of the video was shot in Snohomish Washington and we did the car scene right at golden hour and the sunset (which you’ll see in the video) was just so beautiful. Kyle has such an amazing eye for capturing such beautiful times and moments in all the videos he does. He blows my mind every time we film together!

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

I use Instagram the most to stay connected with my fans and supporters! I love talking to fans when I can through messages and comments. Everyone has been so excited about the release of “Without You”! I feel so thankful for every single person who has supported me with my music. Their support helps me continue what I do, but also makes me love what I do even more every single day!

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

Yes! I’m planning on releasing 2 more singles after “Without You” and an EP in the Spring! They were all produced by Robbie Artress and I had the same players (Gideon and Gabe Klein), but I also had Ellen Angelico on these new songs that are unreleased and working with them all again along with Ellen for the first time was just so much fun. They all were so excited about these new songs and we used so many fun instruments too. They are all such talented players, but they are also such incredible people as well. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else be a part of these songs and stories!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me since I was 15 to the people who have supported me since last week! Every single person who has kept up with my music and who has supported me by streaming the music, coming to shows, sharing, commenting, and liking I love them all so much! I want them all to know that I really do care about them and hope that they love all of the new music that I’m planning to release! They are all so nice and kind and I feel so lucky to have such incredible fans.
