Singer-songwriter Corey Harper has released the official video for his single, “Entertainment”. The introspective video follows Corey as he returns to his roots in the Pacific Northwest and it perfectly showcases the rawness and emotion of both the song and locale as Corey struggles with finding his artistic identity in the Los Angeles music scene. PRESS HERE to watch the video. “Entertainment” can be found on Corey’s new EP, Overcast, which is out now. PRESS HERE to listen. Corey Harper also recently sat down with Flaunt Magazine to discuss all things culture, quarantine and a house full of rescue dogs with girlfriend Ireland Baldwin. PRESS HERE to check it out.

It was important to me to get back to my roots and shoot this music video out in Oregon’s nature, far removed from the noise of Los Angeles. The video highlights the surroundings that inspired my music and lifestyle from an early age. Oregon is an incredible place. I don’t think people fully understand how beautiful and diverse the landscape is there. I grew up surfing, snowboarding, and playing music all over Oregon. The state has everything you could want to be inspired, but with the juxtaposition of the PNW’s gloom, fog, rain, and cold. It is very unique, and I think its inspiration is evident in the “Entertainment” music video. Corey Harper

Overcast found the buzzy artist returning to his hometown of Portland for a source of inspiration and features him playing nearly every instrument himself, co-writing all six songs, and splitting production duties with collaborator Lubben (Halsey, Gnash.) The six songs on Overcast are Corey’s most personal to date yet the issues they examine — the strained bonds between loved ones; the mourning of friends who are no longer with us; the desire to live a life that’s honest, meaningful, and real, despite the distractions of modern-day existence — are so common. While Overcast casts the widest net of Corey Harper’s catalog, it doesn’t just shine a light on the melodic hooks that earned him a career-launching spot as Justin Bieber’s opening act in 2016, or the versatile vocals and understated guitar heroics that have pushed songs like “On The Run” to over 10 million streams on Spotify. Instead, it shows the full range of his abilities and recasts Corey as a musician’s musician whose meticulous approach to pop music is both personal and universal. Corey has toured with the likes of Niall Horan, Noah Kahan, Julia Michaels and has also performed at Bonnaroo, BottleRock, Sasquatch, Ohana Festival and more.
