Brynn chats with TMI about the first song they wrote and the first instrument they learned

What is the first thing you do when you get up in the morning?

I always cuddle with my cat, Boof, first thing in the morning! He likes to wake me up before work.

What was the first concert you attended?

My very first concert was The Cheetah Girls! Aly & AJ opened for them. My parents bought me tickets for Christmas when I was 9.

What was your first CD?

Britney Spears! I used to belt “Stronger” in my childhood bedroom. One time I even tried to take my entire stereo with me on a plane so I could play the CD for my aunt.

Who was your first celebrity crush?

Zac Efron. Hands down. High School Musical was life-changing, and I got to meet Zac a few years after it came out. He put his hand on my shoulder, and I have not washed that shirt since.

What was the first song you ever wrote?

I wrote a lot of random lyrics throughout middle school. I was in a band in 8th grade, and we played my first original song called “Truth”. It was a hard rock song about breaking up with my middle school boyfriend. The content of my songs hasn’t changed much since then!

What was the first song you ever performed?

The earliest performance I can remember is singing “Popular” from Wicked with my best friend in 4th grade. We wore matching outfits and feather boas.

What was your first musical instrument?

My mom signed me up for piano lessons as a kid. I wish I would have stuck with it, but I loved singing and wanted to start taking voice lessons instead.

What was your first car?

A dark green honda accord named “Leonard”.

What was your first job?

I worked at Kumon Learning Center as a tutor and a grader.

What is the first social media platform that comes to mind, so we can tell our readers where to follow you!
