Hey Ben!! So excited to be chatting with you. Where did your love of music come from?

My love for music stems from primary school where I began learning guitar after a close family friend introduced me to it. I shortly after started singing and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing at the same time.

Can you tell us what your newest release “What’s Wrong With Me” means to you?

The song ‘What’s wrong with me’ is quite a deep and meaningful song, we wrote it after finding out we had both suffered similar mental health situations in the past. I feel the song is an upbeat and catchy song that anyone can enjoy, however the meaning is something that many people can relate to and as the problem of mental health is being spoken about more we felt this track worked well at the moment.

What’s been your reaction to your fans’ love for “What’s Wrong With Me”?

I was really glad that people enjoyed the song, people have said they really relate and find a little comfort through the track.

How excited were you to get ‘What’s Wrong With Me” out into the world?

We were definitely looking forward to releasing new music, it has been a while since i had put out anything new, however this is the first track that i have produced completely by myself (not in a studio) so part of me was nervous as people might have been expecting something more commercial (They enjoyed it!).

What was it like working with Callum Butterworth on this song?

I met callum at the end of last year when he was a guest on the live music facebook chat show i host called ‘Video Mic Night’ and since then we had hit it off really well, before lockdown we played a couple of gigs as a duo and had plans to start something like a duo (unfortunately it didn’t work out) but this track was still something we enjoyed writing and producing. I loved working with callum and learning things he had to offer from his previous experiences on the voice etc.

Do you guys plan to keep making music together?

We do want to make music together again, however i have plans to write and release a solo EP by summer next year. (A Callum Butterworth feature i don’t know?!?!?! :))

Do you have any release plans for summer 2020?

I currently have a couple of songs in the pipeline but i can’t comment at the moment on release dates!

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I love interacting with people that enjoy my music. I feel if someone likes the music that comes from my heart then we have something in common. I would love to have a close relationship with my supporters and I feel social media makes that great and I can chat with fans from all over the world.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I feel that fans don’t really know that I’m not the most confident performer. I love performing on stage and the atmosphere is amazing, however sometimes it can be quite daunting!

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

If a supporter was to see me in public  I would never turn down a selfie, that’s only if I’m not in a rush or not looking my best!

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I love to spread positivity and I hope that people can find comfort in my music. I would love for people that come from all different backgrounds to relate and enjoy my tracks.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

One word to describe what my fans have allowed me to accomplish is ‘Freedom’ because making music makes me happy and really allows me to express myself and how i’m feeling and let situations and emotions go through songs.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Ed sheeran. Ed sheeran. Ed sheeran. Ed sheeran. Ed sheeran. And… Paul Mcartney 🙂

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

As I mentioned earlier social media is a great place for artists to interact with their supporters. It’s a big and inexpensive platform to promote releases and upcoming performances.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest dream is to spend my life making music and playing shows to people that understand and love what I create. That’s it, being an artist for me is sharing something I love with people that can enjoy it!

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

To my supporters… I know there aren’t many of you but I really do appreciate that you enjoy what I make. And Thank You ! Xx
