BEA MILLER KICKS OFF YEAR-LONG ALBUM PROJECT
WITH FIRST OF FOUR-PART COLLECTION:
“CHAPTER ONE: BLUE” OUT FEBRUARY 24

unnamed-1

COMPLETE ALBUM DUE NOVEMBER 2017
“CHAPTER ONE: BLUE”

Kicking off a year-long album roll-out, Bea Miller has released the first of a four-part collection, CHAPTER ONE: BLUE today. The innovative campaign will include audio and videos released in three chapters every three months throughout 2017 culminating in the fourth and final release – her full-length sophomore album in November.

Each collection will have a theme tied to different primary color: CHAPTER ONE: BLUE (out now); CHAPTER TWO: RED releasing in May; CHAPTER THREE: YELLOW releasing in August, and the as-yet-to be titled full-length album (which features collaborations with a number of notable songwriters and producers including Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Sir Nolan, Jesse Shatkin and Pop & Oak, to Ilsey and Nick Jonas to name a few) to be released in November, will consist of the nine previously released songs and include three new tracks to complete the story arc.

Bea’s intention for the year-long project, she says, is to bring fans “along for the journey” as she experiences the stages of a relationship ending. In describing the idea behind the album Miller says, “The theme of this project is very cohesive and based on the idea of how colors make you feel. I see colors when I listen to music. I’ve always been very affected by color. It’s a way to communicate a more complex idea in a simple way that a wide range of people can understand.”

The focus song on CHAPTER ONE: BLUE, “Song Like You,” was written by Miller while on the subway in Brooklyn going to collaborate with Ido Zmishlany. “I experienced a specific moment where I was like, ‘I am in a bad situation, and the person that I’m with is not right for me right now, and I don’t know what to do.’ I was sitting on the train, and I have a book where I write all my songs. I wrote down some of the things that seemed good about us and our situation, followed by the reality that they were never good at all. It was like a beautiful wave that becomes a devastating hurricane — a lullaby that can’t be heard over a baby continuing to cry.”

While the New Jersey born Miller is currently co-writing and recording her sophomore album. This past summer Bea wrapped the opening spot for Selena Gomez’s 2016 ‘Revival’ tour and opened a few shows for Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas’ ‘FutureNow’ tour. On July 24, 2015, Bea released her debut album, Not An Apology, which debuted #7 on the Billboard 200, #1 on the iTunes Pop chart and featured the gold certified-hit single “Fire N Gold” and “Young Blood.” Not An Apology is available for download HERE and streaming HERE.
