Bailee Paige Talks With TMI About Her Growing Music Career

How did you get started in the music industry?

I got started in the music industry at a young age. Growing up I was always hearing my nanny sing around the house. I started singing in the children’s choir at 3, getting solos to express my passion at a young age. As time went on at the age of 7, I got the opportunity to sing at Johny Highs Country music Revue. Then being on the Grapevine Opry every other weekend. Being around other musicians and singers helped push me toward this amazing career.

How would you describe your musical style?

My music style is very unique, I try to include the best of most worlds. I have deep country roots being a Texas girl, but you also can’t forget the soul and passion I get from singers like Aretha Franklin and Etta James. Growing up Micheal Jackson was always being played so I also get the pop genre in my music. I get to include all of my favorite musicians into one style that I so deeply love.

What artists do you look up to right now?

The artists I look up to the most include many greats. For forever I have loved Micheal Jackson, Dolly Parton, Etta James, Patsy Cline, Aretha Franklin, and Elvis Presley. But also have a love for popular artists right now. I enjoy Mauren Morris, Khalid, Post Malone, and Kings of Leon.

What does it feel like to perform your own music live in front of your fans?

Performing live has always been one of my favorites. I loved the adrenaline and the love I get from the audience. Performing Strange Love heightens those feelings. Mainly because I am able to relate this song to so many more people rather than singing someone else’s feelings or words.

Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists today?

Social media platforms are so important to the world today because it is a way for the artists to connect with their fans. Artists are able to post pictures of how they are feeling, when their next show is, what they are doing at the moment, and even the music they have to share with the world.

What’s an average day for you look like?

So far an average day for me is waking up, working out, then doing homeschool. Once that is accomplished I focus on my music, whether it’s posting something on Instagram, texting CampZeroo to see what he has planned for me, to even take radio interview calls. Even with all of this I still make time for my family, my biggest supporters.

How has this whole music career experience been?

The experience has been amazing. This is what I have dreamed up ever since I was a little girl. Singing and performing has always been my passion. Being able to have this experience has been a dream come true.

Do you have any advice for aspiring music artists?

The best advice I can give to anyone is to never give up. Always push for what you want, no matter what it is. Put your best foot forward and don’t let anything or anyone get in your way.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I just want to thank my dad, Quinn, and my mom Liz for being my biggest supporters and always pushing me to do what I love with a full heart. And reminding me that I couldn’t do this without God and he blessed me with an amazing gift. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for always loving me.

I’d also like to thank my label and label head Camp Zeroo of Zeroo Entertainment and my press team of Cece Vance & Nakeshia Shannon of VanceNyCC PR Firm
