What inspired you to pursue music at such a young age?
I actually started with dancing, which was my first entrance into the music world. Things then progressed a couple years later after I moved to Canada when I was seven, and singing really became the thing that I wanted to do most.
In terms of wanting to pursue music professionally, I have always loved performing on stage and that has been the main reason for my passion. Singing is the most important thing in my life.
How would you describe your musical style?
It was originally influenced by classic artists like Etta James and Diana Ross, and I still carry those influences with me to this day. I also incorporate more of a pop style to create sort of a blend between Soul and Pop.
What artists do you look up to right now?
I look up to so many artists. There are so many artists and songs that I love, but some of the main artists I look up to are Lady Gaga and Jorja Smith.
You recently released your new single “HEADPHONES” and it’s gotten an amazing reaction from your supporters, what has been your thought about the reaction of the new single?
I honestly don’t even believe it. It has taken me all very by surprise. I never in a million years thought that I would have so many supporters believing in me and enjoying the song. I am so happy that people love the song – it brings so much meaning and positivity in my life. I can’t wait to see where this takes me, and I just want to keep making music and getting more amazing reactions from my audience.
Can you tell us the meaning behind “HEADPHONES”? How did the idea for this song come about?
When asked in writing sessions about ‘what inspires you’ and ‘what do you want to talk about’ I always struggled because I didn’t want to talk about love or anything like that. I wanted to talk about what inspired me and what made me feel the most happy – and that’s music. I wanted to create a song that was relatable and made people feel so happy with just the most simple lyrics. I love the idea of being able to do something simple like putting on your headphones and forgetting about the rest of the responsibilities of the world.
What is it like having your music played on Radio Disney, MTV & Sirius XM/Venus Radio?
It is so unreal. I can’t believe that after all these years of listening to the radio, I can actually hear my own voice on it. It’s crazy to think that a song that I had no idea would become what it has, is now playing on the radio alongside some of the greatest artists in the world.
How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?
I want the relationship to be very genuine. I am not a fake person at all. I love the supporters that I have now, will continue to love them and continue to love any new supporters that I get along the way. I just feel that being honest with them and having a supporting relationship with them is the most important thing.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?
Definitely Instagram! I love that you can share photos of just being yourself and keeping people updated about what you’re doing in life.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
I can’t give any specifics quite yet, but I can that there is new material coming in the future and there are very exciting events coming up! Let’s just say that I am very much looking forward to releasing it and working on it.
