Hey Andre! So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your new video for “Short Term” & it’s awesome! What do you hope your supporters will think of the new video?

Thank you! I want supporters to come up with their own meaning of what the video means. I believe supporters will be able to interpret and relate differently. That’s the great thing about the video.

Can you tell us the backstory of this video? How did you come up with the idea for this video?

I actually never wanted to create a video at first. I just wanted to create an EP and have it speak for itself. I only chose to create the video because the idea for all four songs kept plaguing my mind and I couldn’t just ignore it. The idea honestly came to me randomly and I’m glad I put it into action.

You also just released the EP “Short Term”!! How excited were you to get this project out into the world?

Very! I’ve been working on this project for a very long time and couldn’t wait to share it with the world. To finally see it out, it’s truly a blessing.

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?

Of course! I have %100 creative say in my music. I write all my songs myself. I wouldn’t want to create something that’s not true to me.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

It feels great. To be able to release your own original music anytime, it’s truly a blessing. Freedom is extremely important to me. If I don’t have freedom, I don’t have anything.

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video 🙂

I’m definitely working on more music and will definitely have a music video for it. That’s all I can say for now.

What’s been the pros and cons of pursuing your music career?

There’s been many pros and cons. One pro would be, it’s absolutely exciting. One con would be, there’s financial risks. With that being said, I wouldn’t want to work at a job I hate. Life is way too short and I know following my heart will be worth it.

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

My parents definitely get a shout out! They’ve been supporting me since day one.

What do you think makes your fan community/fandom different from others?

I’m seeing a lot of multiculturalism, which is great. Some artists just cater to a specific group of people. I wouldn’t want to limit myself.

How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?

Honest, cool, and funny.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

There’s so many people dealing with so many different things and I just want people to know they’re not alone.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I have a high metabolism.

Are you planning any IG live shows to promote your new music?

Definitely for my next project. Right now, I just want people to enjoy the EP and video “Short Term”.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Gratefulness.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

That I love and appreciate them.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Hans Zimmer. He’s not really in the music industry, but the film music industry. His music gives me goosebumps. The man’s a legend.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

It’s important because it lets you connect with many people around the world, among many other things. It’s definitely a great tool to have. Only a tool though. I wouldn’t want to use it every second of the day. That’s where it can become dangerous for your health.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

To continue to learn and elevate as a human and artist.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I’m a proud African Canadian!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this interview!
