Hey Alia! So excited to be chatting with you! You are gearing up to release your new Christmas EP entitled Christmas Miracle! What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music? And what do you hope they’ll get from hearing your new songs?
I’m really hoping that they love the new sound I’ve been experimenting with. I’m hoping to spread some Christmas Cheer of course, and I’m hoping they get that from the EP.
What does this EP mean to you?
This EP means everything to me. It’s my first project! A lot of hard work went into this, I actually record, write, mix, and produce my own music. So it was a lot of fun putting it together, but a lot of hard work. So I’m ecstatic to be sharing it.
Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you the rest of the year?
I actually have a really big surprise! After this EP something big is coming, so stay tuned cause it’s going to be amazing!
Will there be a music video for any of your new singles? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video
Yes! That’s the second half of the surprise. Even though I’m dying to just blurt out all the details, it’s definitely going to be worth the wait!
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
Most definitely. First off, I must thank GOD! I’ve been through so much pursuing this dream and without the strength I’ve received from him, I wouldn’t be here today. Next I want to thank my mother and my family for the continuous support and motivation. I also want to thank my management and my label Contra for helping me see this through. You can’t do it alone ya know? So I’m incredibly blessed to have such a supportive team behind me. Haqq Islam and Aaron Eubanks are amazing people and I’m so fortunate to be working with them!
What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?
To all of the aspiring musicians, like myself, I really want them to know that self-love and determination are fundamental when it comes to following your dreams. This is a tough business, just like most industries. So, focus on you, love you, and what you offer, and know that you are original. There’s no need to follow trends, just be yourself.
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
I’m so chill and down to earth. Come up to me, let’s talk & take some pics. It means just as much to me as it may to you.
Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?
Social media is an amazing tool. I’ll admit, it’s been hard for me to get into the consistency needed to grow your socials. But It’s such a great tool for reaching people around the world. It’s so much easier today than 10 years ago. So I try to take advantage of the possibilities we have today!
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
My biggest goal is to go on tour. That’s something I’ve never done. I dream of being able to do this full time. I know I’m close, so my foot is on the gas right now.
