So Ashley, you started your music career at a very young age, what inspired you to try music at all?
I have always loved music my whole life. There was always music playing in my house. It was something that always made me feel happy and I knew it was something I always wanted to do.
Did you always want to be a singer?
Yes!! When I was very young I took the microphone from the hired singer at one of my parents parties. At first they were mad and then when I started singing a lady Gaga song everyone was shocked and then started dancing. My parents said it was the best party they ever threw. From that moment I knew I was going to sing and entertain.

How would you describe your musical style?
I love music that makes you smile or you can relate to in a special way. Music that touches you.

Can we expect any new music soon?
I have a lot of great music recorded and we are finalizing what will be on my EP. Another single will be out sometime in march.
What is the meaning behind your new single, “All I Need”?
All I need is about having a support system in life. Having girlfriends, boyfriend, parents etc to lean on and get you threw anything.
How did the idea for the “All I Need” Music Video come about?
I wanted the music video to showcase the support system. I have my girlfriend from London in it having fun, tenzing trainor as my boy friend making up my support system. I wanted it to be fun and energetic so nyc was the perfect place to film. We shot in so many amazing locations.
What was the process to make the “All I Need” music video?
I was really involved in the creative process. I scouted the locations with the team and wanted to make sure it was a fun video.
How was it like working with Liv & Maddie Star Tenzing Trainor?
Tenzing Trainor was great to work with. A true professional. We had a blast filming. It made it so much fun.
You are also an actress. What made you decide to try acting?
I have always been very animated and have used my acting skills to get myself out of trouble with my parents. As I was doing this my parents always said you should be an actress and I thought why not.
Can you tell us all about your new movie “Broken Vows”? -Whats the movie about? Co-stars? When did It air? Etc.
Broken vows is a psycho thriller starring Jamie Alexander and Wes Bentley. I had a small part playing daisy the bridesmaid and younger sister of Jamie Alexander. It was such a thrill to be side to side with such big stars. I loved every second of being on a movie set.
The movie came out in November.
What did you think of the movie when you saw it completed?
I watched the movie with my parents and they were annoying because it has some mature scenes so my mom was trying to cover my eyes. Wes Bentley plays the best creepy stalker and Jamie Alexander is so beautiful.
Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
My mind doesn’t stop so we are dreaming up more projects for sure.
How do you manage school with your busy schedule?
It’s not easy. I am in boarding school in Connecticut so it is strict and challenging. I have to focus since I take off one week a month to either go to la or NYC to record my music during the school year. So it’s a lot of work to make up. My music is everything so it’s worth it.
Have you ever been starstruck by someone? If so when, where, and who was it?
I was star stuck by nick Jonas. When I first started recording at jungle city studios in NYC. Nick was in the studio next to me. When I met him I couldn’t speak which is so not me. I hope I get to meet him again so he doesn’t think I am mute. Lol
How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?
I love my fans and wants to be close to them. Really connect with them on a personal level.
Does your fanbase have a name?
Not yet. Trying to come up with the perfect name.
What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?
When I filming the music video in Central Park there was a life size big bird following me around everywhere. He even started dancing to my my music and wanted to dance with me. It was crazy.

I use Instagram, Facebook, & twitter.
Whats the feeling you get when your on stage and your fans are singing your songs back to you?
There is no better feeling when I am performing and people are singing my song. It’s beyond cool.

Are you going on tour anytime soon?
I sure hope I will go on tour soon but no definite plans yet.
What’s an average day for “Ashley” look like?
My average day at school goes like this. I wake up at 6:39am so it’s the last minute possible. I love my sleep. I hate waking. I have yogurt for breakfast. Then I go to class. So many classes.
I go to lunch with my friends. When the weather is good we go to the coffee shop downtown to eat. When it’s snowing we can only get to the cafeteria so I starve. The food is only edible when the parents come on visiting day. I have a stash of snacks and chocolate in my room that keeps me alive.
After classes I do ballet and study robotics. I speak to my family every day. Do Tons and tons of homework and then go to sleep. Wake up to do it again. We have school 6 days a week. The whole time I am dreaming about getting back to the music studio.
How do you spend most of your free time?
During free time at school I knit watching net flix. I write songs and keep a journal of my ideas. I also love to bake and eat of course!
Whats the best thing thats come out of this career so far?
The best thing is working with cory Rooney my producer. He has produced so many hits for super stars. Bruno mars, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, j lo, mark Anthony , destinys child and so many more. He has become my family now and I am so grateful.
What’s your biggest struggle in this career so far?
My biggest struggle is managing school and my busy schedule. Recording bi-coastal in la at east west studio and NYC at jungle city studios.
What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?
For my career I want to keep making amazing music that makes people happy. Entertainment is my life.
I also want to be a good kind person in life and never change. Treat people the way you want to be treated with respect.
How has this whole music career experience been?
This experience has been amazing and I am so blessed. I love being in the studio 24/7!! It is so inspiring.

Dream and you can achieve. Also if you love it it’s not work.
