How did you guys become a band?

Scott was the younger brother of Brandon’s friend, and then they managed to find Aaron by searching #singer on Twitter. Really coincidental! We felt it was important to break out of our social circles in order to find like minded people that shared the same goal.

How did you come up with the band name 3PM?

3PM is a secret acronym that we came up with almost five years ago.We refuse to tell the meaning, but you’re welcome to make your own guesses!

Can you tell us a little something about each of you?

Aaron- I have a love for musical theater and have had leading roles in multiple shows throughout high school. I was also a certified nursing assistant upon graduating.

Scott- During the summer of 2015 I was the youngest person on the entire Vans Warped Tour at 17 years old, and we left for tour 2 weeks after I graduated high school.

Brandon- I am a certified personal trainer and was also a state ranked wrestler.

What is it like being in a band?

Being in a band is very fun, but also very exhausting at times. There is always work to do, but at the end of the day, it is the best job in the world and we wouldn’t trade it for anything else. There is nothing better than traveling the country with your best friends playing music and making memories.

How would you describe your musical style as a band?

We’re taking more of a step towards a modern pop-rock sound but also incorporating our pop punk roots with our new album. We can’t wait to show this new style to everyone and redefine 3PM.

What artists/bands are you influenced by?

Some of the bands that influence us are All Time Low, 5 Seconds of Summer, and One Direction. We all have our personal influences, but our music is definitely geared towards those styles.

What’s the difference from your band and all bands that have come before you?

We like to take pride in writing all of our music between the three of us. It keeps the sound close to home and it shows when we play our songs live. It’s much easier to feel and love the music when you know that it was all written by the people performing it.

You guys do a lot of cover songs. What’s the process of choosing a cover song for you guys to sing?

We like to do covers of songs that are huge on the radio. We will usually find a song that we all generally like, feel a connection with, and then introduce the 3PM twist. The covers that we recorded recently that are on our YouTube channel were all huge hits that we loved. We also like to cover of songs we know are fans would love!

Did you have a “break out” song that started things for you with your followers?

We mainly gain our fan base by playing our music all across the United States. We love to promote at different concerts, play for everyone in line and give out our signature wristbands. After every day, hundreds of people reach out to us saying they’re a new fan or how they bought our music. It’s really a great feeling.

What was your favorite cover song to record?

Death of a Bachelor was definitely our favorite. It was the first video we did that was more than us playing the song. We took weeks to interpret the meaning of the song and write a storyboard the delivers the emotion of the song. Death of a Bachelor was definitely our most well-received cover and we’re excited to do more videos like it!

Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?

Very soon, and no we can not. 😉

You guys are currently on your 2017 House Party Tour. What’s the best part about being on tour for you guys and what’s it like being on the road?

The best part of being on tour is getting to meet new people and gain new fans. We love it when people that are unfamiliar with our music get to experience for the first time and enjoy it! Being on the road is fun because we get to see all the sites that each state has to offer. It can be tiring, but it is worth it in every way.

What are you most looking forward to for the rest of the tour?

We’re looking forward to playing the rest of our shows and meeting fans that we haven’t gotten to meet in person. It’s not everyday that we get to actually talk to long-time fans in person!

You guys also have a second tour coming up called the OMG Tour. Can you tell us a little bit about what people can expect on that tour?

This is our first full on tour with the current lineup of 3PM. We’re going to be playing our classics, along with covers and quite possibly some new songs that nobody has heard yet. We’re very excited for this tour!

What’s your favorite song to perform live?

Definitely one of our new songs. You’re going to have to come see us during our OMG Tour to experience them!

What’s the feeling you guys get when your fans are singing your songs back to you?

Seeing our fans sing back is heartwarming. It lets us know that our fans have developed a connection with our music and knowing all the words means they’re really dedicated fans. It’s absolutely incredible.

Does your fanbase have a name?

Not as of right now. We’re playing with the idea but haven’t come up with a name that is good enough for our fans.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

We want our relationship with our fans to be close. Our DMs are always open on our social media and we love talking to fans that come to our shows. Promoting at shows is great because we’re face to face talking and playing to new people. We are very aware of the fact that we would not be here without them, so we want them to feel appreciated.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

We mostly use Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. It’s very easy for us to respond and interact with fans because DMs are so easy to send. We also see every response that we receive so we don’t miss out on people trying to get in touch with us. Lately we’ve been posting on snapchat and IG stories, so follow us there!

What was the craziest fan encounter you guys have had?

One time when we were promoting in Wichita, a girl we had met in line ran up and kissed Aaron on the cheek completely out of the blue then ran away, after leaving a big red lipstick mark. It was pretty crazy but also hilarious at the same time!

What’s an average day for you guys look like?

First, we wake up in our car and then drive to the nearest location with free wi-fi. We work out and shower, and then we either play our show or promote at another show. It’s a 24-hour effort to make this happen so we’re at it every day.

What goals have you guys set out for the band?

There are honestly too many to list. This year, we plan on releasing new music and doing some touring. We’re going to work our butts off to make sure that this album charts on Billboard like “Slow Me Down” did. Signing to a label is also not out of the question either!

Where do you guys hope the band is in 5 years?

In 5 years we hope to be doing this full time. Our overall goal is to make an impact and be able to inspire people to be doing what we’re doing, which is chasing our dreams.

Do you guy have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through the years. Without your help, we wouldn’t be where we are now, and we wouldn’t be progressing forward as we currently are. Thank you for all that you do. We love you all!

Thank you guys for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer these questions.
