Hey Vaeda! So excited to be chatting with you! Your new single “Run Fast” is highly anticipated by your fans. How excited are you for all your supporters to hear your new song?!?

I’m so excited! I’m hoping this song will resonate with my listeners.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope they love it! It’s different from the vibe of my other two singles. Run Fast is more on the pop side, so I think it will do well with my audience.

Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?

In some ways, yes. It’s just loosely based on my experiences at parties. So basically, the song is about being reckless and carefree.

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?

I try to have all, and if not most of the creative say in my songs. I write the melody and lyrics for all of my songs and then get outside help to build a track around my ideas. It’s always a collaborative process.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

It feels like I’m doing what I was mean to do. It’s so freeing to be able to share my self expression with people outside of my inner circle.

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

Ah there’s a laundry list of people I want to thank, but at the top is probably my parents. They’re so supportive of me and what I do. I love them so much and I wouldn’t be where I am right now without them.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I want them to feel like they’re a part of something. All I’ve ever wanted from releasing music and performing was to connect with people. I think that music brings people together and it’s a beautiful thing. I just want my audience to know that they’re not alone.

Many of your supporters are starstruck when they meet you Have you ever been starstruck?

I don’t know if anyone’s ever been star struck when they’ve met me, but let me tell you…. I was soooo fangirling when I met Norman Reedus at Walker Stalker Con. I never thought he was hot when I watched the show (The Walking Dead), but for some reason I melted when he called me sweetheart and took a photo with me.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social media is a curse and a blessing for artists. It’s an extension of who we are and what we do, but it is hard for people without a team around them to get noticed because of how many people are on social media. I think that if used right, social media is the key to getting a following.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My dream/goal is to put out more music and tour. I want to travel and expand my audience. Most of my fans are in NY, but I do have a small national/global following so I’d like to perform for those people.
Any last things you want to tell your supporters? Thank you for sticking around! I appreciate everything you do for me 🙂
